This is a nice story that never let reader think on anything else while reading. The narration style of author Betty Mahmoody is excellent and dazzles the reader.

This is a story of an American wife, Iranian Husband and there daughter. Betty Mahmoody is wife of Dr. Sayed Bozorg Mahmoody who is a therapist in Michigan hospital. One day her Husband convince them to go for a vacation to his homeland Iran, which he told them must be a week ot two week long. However on arriving Iran they came to know that there's no going back.

They are not allowed the basic human rights that they had in US. Betty contact US embassy which tole her the fact that though she has all the legal right to leave for her country she can't take her daughter along as according to Iran's law father has the custody of children.
